Dr. Mittelman helped pioneer facial chin implant surgery, facial cosmetic laser surgery, and techniques for facelift surgery. His great interest in rhinoplasty surgery is highlighted by his development of special nasal instruments for rhinoplasty. The Mittelman Extended Chin Implants and the Mittelman Pre-Jowl Implants are the most popular implants of that type in the United States and are used worldwide. Dr. Mittelman also pioneered the use of the Carbon Dioxide Laser for office-based cosmetic surgery in the mid-1980 ′s.
