HOW ARE FAT TRANSFER INJECTIONS ADMINISTERED?

Fat transfers & injections are administered in three steps. Dr. Mittelman may provide a sedative or local anesthesia to keep you fully comfortable during the procedure.

Step 1: Fat is extracted from target problem areas of the body via liposuction. The most common harvest sites are the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs where stubborn fatty deposits have accumulated over years. As an added benefit, extracting fat from these sites usually improves the contour and definition of the harvest areas.

Step 2: The harvested tissue is allowed to separate,and the fat cells are isolated.

Step 3: The fat cells are injected directly into the treatment area using a very fine-gauge needle. Dr. Mittelman uses his skill and experience to select the precise, ideal injection sites to enhance the contours of your face.

Results will be immediately visible following the procedure. In approximately 50 percent of cases, the body absorbs the transplanted fat.You may require a follow-up treatment.
