How Should I Prepare for Radiesse®?

Radiesse® is FDA approved as an effective and safe treatment only when administered by an experienced and qualified facial plastic surgeon. Radiesse® is comprised of only natural ingredients, so allergic reactions are extremely rare. Nonetheless, please inform Dr. Mittelman about any allergies, medical conditions or medications that you may be taking prior to treatment. Also, let him know if you have received any other cosmetic injections recently. If you have inflammation, an infection or other skin irritation, it may be best to hold off treatment until after the condition clears up.

How Is Radiesse® Administered?

Dr. Mittelman typically applies a topical numbing agent to reduce any potential for discomfort. The treatment itself may take from 15 to 60 minutes to administer, depending on the number of areas being treated.  Radiesse® is injected using very fine, small-gauge needle inserted into layers underneath the skin. Although some improvement will be visible immediately, creases and lines in your skin will continue to disappear gradually over the next two or three weeks as your skin increases collagen production stimulated by Radiesse®.
